The WindTree Vertical Axis turbine Systems are durable, elegant, and powerful. They are low-tech, compared with today’s conventional Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (HAWTs), however, they offer modular design for sites where the wind speed, at 10m, is 6.5m/sec or more.
Technology of WindTree is a complementary technology, designed to work in the understory of existing wind farms as well as on new wind farm developments. It eases transition in aging wind farms, and can work in a “high/low” configuration to support capacity factor enhancement.
